Our Story

Every Life Deserves
to Be Remembered.

We built Memoria because the stories of the people we love are too important to disappear. They deserve a home — a place where anyone who knew them can gather, share, and keep their memory alive.

Why We Exist

Our Mission

Memoria exists to preserve the stories of those we've lost — making them accessible to anyone who loved them, forever. We believe that every person who walked this earth left a mark worth honoring, and that grief is easier when we face it together.

"A person is not truly gone until their name is spoken for the last time."

Simple & Meaningful

How It Works

01

Find or Add a Memorial

Search our growing collection of memorials across Los Angeles. If you don't find your loved one, you can add them in minutes — no account required.

02

Share Memories & Stories

Write a memory, upload a photo, or record a voice note. Every contribution becomes part of a living, breathing tribute that anyone can visit.

03

Keep Their Legacy Alive

Light a candle, claim the page as family, and share a QR code so their memorial travels with you — on a funeral program, a headstone, or a keepsake.

For Families

Make It Yours

Claim the Page

As a family member, you can claim your loved one's memorial to make it officially yours. Add a family message, verify the details, and become the page's guardian — no one else can claim it after you.

Personalize Everything

Choose a color theme, typography, and page layout that reflects who they were. Pin a message at the top for all visitors. The page can feel as warm or as serene as they deserved.

Share with a QR Code

Every memorial has a unique QR code you can download and print. Put it on an order of service, a gravestone plaque, or a framed photo — anyone who scans it arrives at their story.

Invite the Community

Anyone — friends, colleagues, former neighbours — can find the page and leave a memory. You'll be surprised who comes forward with a story you'd never heard before.

Where We Came From

Our Story

Memoria started in Los Angeles with a simple belief: that every person who lives in this city — every neighbor, every teacher, every quietly extraordinary person — deserves more than a printed obituary that disappears with yesterday's newspaper.

We noticed that when someone passed away, the memories scattered. Old friends posted on social media, family members held onto photos, coworkers shared stories at the service and then never again. There was no single place to bring it all together — and no way for someone who found out months later to add their piece.

So we built one.

Memoria is growing from Los Angeles outward — first to all of California, then across the country, and eventually wherever families need a place to gather. We partner with local news sources to surface memorials automatically, and we give families the tools to make those pages truly their own.

"The love we carry for the people we've lost doesn't disappear when they do. It just needs somewhere to go."

Someone is waiting
to be remembered.

Search for someone you love, or add a memorial for someone whose story shouldn't be lost. It takes five minutes. It lasts forever.
